Happy New Year everybody.
It’s been quite a while since I last shared here, and I’m sitting here feeling a little bit blocked about what to say. Weird.
Maybe something will come to me as I type.
Australia Day and What It Really Means to Me
It’s Australia Day today, and while some Australians protest the meaning behind this day, I personally celebrate it.
Not because of the atrocities that were done to those who were here first – because that is absolutely NOT something to celebrate – but because it is a day where we can truly appreciate the fact that we are here, in this incredible country called Australia.
We cannot undo what was done.
But we can make this country better than we found it, through our own actions.
And that feels like a powerful place to start the year.
Where Have I Been Lately?
I really want to begin this year on a positive footing, so where have I been?
Over the last several months, I’ve been doing a lot of study and reading around manifesting and rewiring the mind.
I’ve been learning about the power of the subconscious mind for almost 40 years now – yes, I really am that old – and that learning never stops. Since shortly after I turned 19, I’ve been a little bit obsessed with subconscious mind work.
And honestly, I still find it fascinating.
The TEAM Formula and Why It Works
A common theme in my reading and studies is that the TEAM Formula I coined is spot on.
Thoughts and beliefs + Emotions + Actions = Manifestation
I’ll admit, I kind of cheated on the T.
Because it’s actually your beliefs that lead to your thoughts, which lead to the emotions you feel, which drive the actions you take, which then create the manifestation.
That T is a big one.
And it’s usually the hardest to work through, because those beliefs are often subconscious. Most of the time, you don’t even realise they’re running the show.
Beliefs Are Decisions
I was reading A Changed Mind by David Bayer recently, and one line really landed.
He says, “Beliefs are decisions.”
That’s powerful.
So if you believe you’re not good enough, you’ve actually decided that you’re not good enough.
Ouch.
How Beliefs Turn Into Your Reality
Once you decide you’re not good enough, you’re likely to feel useless, powerless, worthless, or unworthy.
And when you feel that way, your actions will always match those emotions.
That might look like not putting yourself out there and going for your goals.
It might show up as constantly sacrificing for others.
Or not allowing yourself to experience joy.
And those actions create manifestations that match that energy.
You might attract people who treat you like you’re not a priority.
You might feel like a victim of others.
You might keep experiencing bad luck in business or finances.
Whatever the pattern, your energy is creating those outcomes.
How to Turn This Around
So how do you change it?
You start by looking at your reality.
Step One – Look at What Doesn’t Feel Good
Is there anything happening in your life right now that doesn’t feel good?
Grab a piece of paper and draw two columns.
Label one Contrast and the other Clarity.
Now ask yourself what this situation means about you.
If you’re struggling in business, you might think you don’t know what you’re doing, or that you’re just not cut out for it.
If you’re struggling to manifest a relationship, you might think something is wrong with you, or that you’re not good enough to have what you want.
You might even remember things said to you in childhood by a well meaning parent, or maybe not so well meaning, and notice how those words are still playing out today.
Write all of these under the Contrast column.
Step Two – Create Clarity
Now ask yourself, what is the opposite of this?
If your contrast is I don’t know what I’m doing, your clarity might be I know exactly what to do.
If your contrast is there is something wrong with me, your clarity could be I am whole, worthy, and enough.
Write these in the Clarity column.
Step Three – Look for Evidence
Now this part is important.
Start looking for evidence that the clarity statements are true.
Look for times where you were capable.
Times where you did know what to do.
Moments where you felt whole, worthy, or enough.
They don’t have to be in the same life area.
And if the evidence isn’t obvious, ask your spirit guide team to show you.
Mark it in your diary that each day you’ll look for evidence that your clarity statements are true.
And here’s the fun part.
What you look for will appear, and often in ways that feel a little bit magical.
Bringing It All Together
So I’ll finish by inviting you to look at your current life circumstances.
If there’s anything you don’t like, ask yourself what beliefs and thoughts you have around that area of your life.
Use the Contrast to Clarity exercise.
Then watch how your life starts to shift right before your eyes.
Enjoy everyone.
And let’s chat soon.
