What does it feel like to be hypnotised?
Before my first soul regression experience, I had no idea of what it would feel like to be hypnotised, but I had always been curious.
What I did learn, and what became very clear as I began my training as a Soul Regression Therapist, is that we all actually go in and out of hypnosis several times a day, without even trying!
When we are reading, when we are watching TV, or when we daydream, we are in the Alpha state of hypnosis. This is a light form of hypnosis. We can go into this state even when we’re driving! Have you ever been driving along when you suddenly think to yourself, “I don’t recall how I even got here!”?
It happens to me all the time!
When I’m working with a client, I take them into a deeper state though, and this is called the Theta state. Theta is like the bit in between being awake and asleep. You’re awake and aware of your surroundings, but you’re starting to drift off.
When being hypnotised for the first time, it’s important that you understand what this state may feel like, otherwise you will wonder if you’ve been hypnotised at all.
Even though I do explain this aspect, plus I ask you to try something to help confirm which state you’re in, many will ask, “Did I just make all of that stuff up?”.
If they’re asking this during a regression session, I’ll tell them to just go with what is coming through and no analysing is required – they are seeing certain images for a reason and they need to tell me what they see as they see it, regardless of how “far out” our “out there” the information may seem.
So in a nutshell, hypnosis feels relaxing!
You’re in a relaxed state, your arms and legs are heavy, your eyelids are heavy, and although you may be able to move these parts of your body if you really wanted to, you’re in a state of “you couldn’t be bothered”, so it’s kind of like you can’t!
You can still hear my voice, you can still speak, you’re still aware of the noises and sounds within and outside the room you’re in.
But…
You’re also tapped into a part of you that can see beyond your analytical mind, beyond your eyes, beyond your physical senses.
You are connected to what’s beyond your physical body, and that’s where the magic happens!
After a session, you may not even remember some or all aspects of the session, however I record these sessions, so don’t worry!
You may need a few minutes after the session to get your bearings, but in most cases a person will feel as though they’ve just woken from a lovely, restful sleep.

By the way… I do not wave a watch in front of your eyes to get you into hypnosis! 😀
