The First Step to Healing: Acknowledging What Went Wrong
When a relationship ends or something goes wrong, it’s natural to focus on the external circumstances. You may ask yourself, “What happened?” or “Why did this fail?” While these questions are valid, they often miss the most powerful aspect of healing: looking inward and acknowledging your own part in the situation.
Here, I will summarise my personal journey through past relationships, sharing how I shifted from frustration to empowerment by understanding my own patterns. By acknowledging what went wrong in my relationships—not just what the other person did, but how I contributed—I was able to take steps to stop repeating the same painful patterns.

Why Acknowledging What Went Wrong Is Crucial
- Recognising Vibrational Alignment: Everything in our lives is a reflection of the frequency we are aligned with. If you’ve experienced a toxic relationship, it means, at some point, you were in vibrational alignment with that experience. This isn’t about blaming yourself, but about recognising the energetic match.
- Learning Your Lessons: If you don’t learn from past experiences, you’re likely to repeat them. It’s not enough to leave a relationship behind; it’s essential to understand the lessons it holds for you.
- Taking New Actions: Healing isn’t just about changing your mindset; it’s also about taking different actions in your life. To create a new reality, you need to align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with the future you want.
In the podcast episode and in the video below, I share practical steps you can take to honour yourself, set boundaries, and stop repeating old patterns in relationships. It’s all about shifting your vibrational frequency and stepping into the version of you who is ready for a different, healthier love.
