How to visualise your desires
Hello, lovely ones! It’s Magnificent Monday, and today, we’re discussing how to visualise!
Visualisation is more than just daydreaming about what you want; it’s a powerful tool that, when used correctly, can help align your thoughts and emotions with your deepest desires, particularly in the realm of love and relationships.
Step 1: Define What You Truly Want
Before you can visualise effectively, you need to be crystal clear about what you want. It’s common for people to know what they don’t want, but identifying what you do want is crucial. Start by listing the essentials that you seek in a relationship. You might have heard me talk about creating a “desirables and essentials” list before—focus on the essentials first. Write down what your life would look like with your ideal partner, and get as detailed as possible.
Step 2: Write a Letter from the Future
One effective method I’ve used is writing a letter from your future self. Imagine you’ve already achieved your desire and write about your day in the present tense. Describe your day from when you wake up, to when you go to bed, detailing the emotions and experiences as if they’re happening now.
Step 3: Visualise Daily
Visualisation should become a daily practice. Aim to do it at least once a day, ideally twice—once in the morning and once before bed. Here’s how to do it:
- Set the Scene: Imagine a scene a month after you’ve achieved your goal. For instance, if your goal is to find a loving partner, visualise a moment from your life together that clearly shows you’ve reached your goal.
- First-Person Perspective: Visualise from the first-person perspective. Instead of seeing yourself in the scene as an observer, see it through your own eyes. For example, if you want to manifest an amazing relationship, visualise yourself walking along the beach with your man. You look down, and you can see your hand in his.
Step 4: Incorporate Physical Sensations and Emotions
To make your visualisation more powerful, include physical sensations and emotions:
- Feel the Environment: If you’re walking on a beach with your partner, feel the sand under your feet, the warmth of his hand in yours, and the breeze on your face.
- Engage Your Senses: Hear the sounds around you, smell the salt in the air, and see the vibrant colours of the sunset.
- Emotional Depth: Feel the joy, love, and security in your heart. Imagine the happiness you would feel in that moment.
Step 5: Live in the Moment
Write down your ideal day and choose a specific scene that resonates deeply with you. Spend at least five minutes in the morning and evening visualising this scene. Focus on the feelings of joy, love, and fulfilment. If mornings are too hectic, use your commute time to practice visualisation. Just ensure you stay safe if you’re driving!
Bonus Tips:
- Avoid Specific Faces: If you’re visualising a future partner, avoid putting a specific face to him. This prevents you from limiting yourself and keeps your mind open to the best possible match.
- Daily Practice: Consistency is key. The more you practice, the stronger your alignment with your desires becomes.
Visualisation is a powerful tool that can help you align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with your desires. By practicing these techniques daily, you can create a vivid and compelling vision of your future that draws your desires into your reality.
