ACIM Lesson 32: I have invented the world I see
Today is Thursday, and it’s time to dive into A Course in Miracles with Lesson 32: “I have invented the world I see.” This lesson focuses on the idea that we choose to see the world in a specific way, and this perception shapes our reality.
Understanding Perception
In our fear-based society, we are constantly bombarded with negative news and events. This lesson encourages us to reflect on how we perceive these external realities. We are not victims of the world; instead, we are inventors of it.
Morning and Evening Practice:
- Repeat the Idea: Start your day by repeating the phrase, “I have invented the world I see,” while looking at your surroundings.
- Inner Reflection: Close your eyes and reflect on your inner world, acknowledging that your external reality is a reflection of your internal state.
Internal Reflection
If you’re experiencing negative situations, take a moment to look within. Ask yourself, “What am I thinking, feeling, and doing that might be contributing to this?” By understanding our internal state, we can start to change our external circumstances.
Applying the Lesson
Whenever a distressing situation arises, remind yourself, “I have invented this situation as I see it.” This shift in perspective helps us take responsibility for our experiences and see them as opportunities for growth and learning.
Pam Grout’s Wisdom
Pam Grout, in her book “The Course in Miracles Experiment,” emphasises that our extreme efforts to avoid problems often bring about the very issues we are trying to escape. Instead of focusing on problems, use your mind to envision a happy and beautiful world.
Practical Exercise
Visualize a positive outcome for any challenging situation. Feel the emotions of having it resolved, and immerse yourself in the energy of a positive resolution. This practice can lead to amazing changes in your reality.
Remember, you have the power to choose your perception. See challenges as opportunities for growth, and shift your energy towards positive outcomes. Until next time, stay blessed and keep creating your beautiful world.
